Crosswicks, NJ-
A new law was just passed in Chesterfield's historical village, Crosswicks, where headless dogs are prohibited to "do their business" or play on the field between the Quaker Meeting House and the Crosswicks Community House. Many were outraged with this new law, saying that it was, "Discriminating dogs with this common disability."
"I was shocked. No one had an issue when I walked [Merle] in that field. I'm ashamed that they would do this to the disabled dogs in the community," angered headless dog owner Lisa Schumacher stated.
"We received several complaints of headless dogs roaming about and doing their business, which disturbed the neighbors greatly," Mayor of the township, Herman Rosa, had stated this morning in a press release. "There's plenty of other land in and out of the township to take your domesticated animals. This was not a choice for discriminating against headless dogs."
Will this law open a door to more animal discrimination, like the removal of flightless birds in a no flying zone or forcing cats to be "curious" in order to control stray cat population? Who knows, but the real question is this:
How can dogs poop with no heads in the first place?
